Music Business Workshop - Spring

BUSE 337 - 3 credits

Students in the Music Business Workshop Study Abroad will be coached on the development of their management skills through a music business simulation and collaborative projects encompassing artist management, marketing, tour planning and music company operations. The course involves an online component focused on the global music industry and a week long study abroad in Germany. The experience will involve students and faculty from the Departments of Music and Business and Entrepreneurship. Students and faculty from Pop Akademie University Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany and other international partners also participate in this collaborative experience.

COSTS:

There are three areas of costs for you to consider:

  1. Tuition: Tuition is included in your Spring semester course enrollment.

  2. Special Course Fee: TO BE DETERMINED. The special course fee includes housing, classroom facilities, field trips and entrance fees, and transportation associated with program activities.

  3. Airfare, meals, spending money, etc. These are your responsibility. (Airfares vary widely, depending upon a variety of factors.)

PopAkademie Music Business Semester - Fall

This semester abroad gives students an opportunity to study Music Business at PopAkademie University in Mannheim, Germany each Fall semester. Students who study abroad at PopAkademie will explore the German music industry and take courses that cover German music business, artist management, marketing, and German language. This semester long experience will immerse students in the culture and business of the German music market.

COSTS:

  1. Tuition: You must pay Fall tuition for 12 credit hours. Check the CCC website for specifics.

  2. Special Course Fee: TO BE DETERMINED. The special course fee includes housing, classroom facilities, field trips and entrance fees, and transportation associated with program activities.

  3. Airfare, meals, spending money, etc. These are your responsibility. (Airfares vary widely, depending upon a variety of factors.)

ACCEPTANCE AND DEPOSIT:

Once you are accepted to the program, a $750 deposit is required to hold your space. This deposit will be applied to the Special Course Fee.
